The Outer Limits – The Galaxy Being
We always say, the best music, movies and TV shows have already been made, we’re here to help you remember them all. The Outer Limits is more proof of that.
This is the first episode of season one which aired on ABC back on Sept. 16, 1963. The episode took 9 days to shoot and was shot on a budget of $213,000.00.
Capitalizing off of Rod Serling’s “The Twilight Zone” and creating an opening similar to it, The Outer Limits ran for two seasons with a total of 48 episodes.
In the first episode, Cliff Robertson stars as a radio station owner who builds a three-dimensional television receiver which accidentally intercepts a “”galaxy being”” whose strange form and deadly radiation triggers a tide of panic and violence.
