The show debuted on ABC in September of 1968 and would run for five seasons, compiling 129 episodes ending in 1973.

The show starred Michael Cole as Peter “Pete” Cochran, Peggy Lipton as Julie Barnes, Clarence Williams III as Lincoln “Linc” Hayes, and Tige Andrews as Captain Adam Greer. Aaron Spelling and Danny Thomas were the executive producers of the show.

In the first episode titled The Teeth Of The Barracuda, Harrison Ford and Richard Pryor had uncredited parts.

The show was nominated for 6 Emmy Awards and 4 Golden Globe nominations where Peggy Lipton would snag one.
