Back in 1985, The Jets hit the scene and had a run of great hits you’ll hear on The Beat.
The family that sings, dances and play musical instruments together makes hits together. That’s The Jets.
Back in the day, if you were out dancin’, chances are, this Grammy Award nominated group was on the turntables of DJS around the world.
A family group of Polynesians from Minnesota, the group of many would go on to amass 8 top ten hits in the 80’s including two number ones.
It was a large group too! Composed of brothers and sisters LeRoy, Eddie, Eugene, Haini, Rudy, Kathi, Elizabeth, and Moana Wolfgramm
They started performing as a family band in 1977. It wasn’t until 1985 that they find success with their first album release on MCA entitled “The Jets”. The group was discovered by Don Powell, who previously managed Stevie Wonder and David Bowie, among other artists.
Crush On You, released in 1986 from that first album hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July of ’86.

Quick side note: The two number one hits “You Got It All” and “Make It Real” were song by sister Elizabeth Wolfgramm.
