T-Connection – The Best Of My Love (1982)
The Best Of My Love by T-Connection is just one of the many great songs you’d hear on The Beat Chicago. It’s also a great slow jam you’d hear on our Quiet Storm show on our ‘overnight flight’ Mon-Thurs from 10PM – 2AM.
There’s enough stations playing rock n’ roll classics and the same 80’s songs from Bon Jovi, Journey, John Cougar, Elton John all day long and that’s all cool but, when you want something completely different? When you want everything from Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Spinners to Stevie B, C+C Music Factory classic 80’s dance hits and more of the music that keeps you movin? we’re it.
See, we’re all about the classics too…. Classic R&B and dance of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, freestyle and more. For us, it’s not about how old a song is, it’s about how good it is and this is as good as it gets.
Back in the early 80’s, there was no shortage of great slow jams, hell, was there ever?
T-Connection’s funky roots come to us from Funky Nassau, the Bahamas. In the mid-late 70’s, the band had hits with Do What You Wanna Do, At Midnight, Saturday Night and On Fire.
Heading into the 80’s, the band slowed it down with a stellar groove in Everything Is Cool and then, this 1982 ballad that contains one of the greatest acoustic guitar intros of any song, in our opinion.
