Sexual Healing – Max-A-Million (1995)

This is just one of the many great songs you’d hear on The Beat Chicago.

There’s enough stations playing rock n’ roll classics and the same 80’s songs from Bon Jovi, Journey, John Cougar, Elton John all day long and that’s all cool but, when you want something completely different?  When you want everything from Marvin Gaye, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Spinners to Stevie B, C+C Music Factory and more of the music that keeps you movin?  We’re it.

See, we’re all about the classics too…. Classic R&B and dance of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, freestyle and more.  For us, it’s not about how old a song is, it’s about how good it is and this is as good as it gets.

This is all Chicago in the 90’s. Straight out of the studios in Brookfield, IL.  Max-A-Million included A’Lisa B., Duran Estevez, and Tommye.

Overseen by Chicago producers Charlie “Baby” Rosario and Manfred Mohr (whose 20 Fingers Productions would later score with massive platinum hit “Short Dick Man”). They also had their hands on the hit “Lick It” by Roula.

From the album 1995 album titled “Take Your Time”, Fat Boy would be the first hit followed by a cover of the SOS Band’s 1980 hit “Take Your Time (Do It Right) and finally, this cover of Marvin Gaye’s classic Sexual Healing that keeps the original groove and gives it that late 90’s flava.
