Samantha Fox – Naughty Girls Need Love Too (1988)

It’s what we’re all about, throwbacks and old school mixes. This is just one of the many great songs you’d hear on The Beat Chicago you won’t hear on other stations in Chicago.

Samantha Fox teamed up with super hot producers Full Force for this 1988 pop and club hit.

The song was a collaboration between Fox and hip-hop group Full Force. It describes how a “naughty girl” has unexpectedly fallen in love. The Baltimore Sun described it as “not so much a song as a T-shirt with a rhythm section.

In the US, “Naughty Girls” peaked at #3 on June 4, 1988. It was ranked as the 50th most popular song of that year. It was also a top ten hit in New Zealand, Finland and Canada.

Full Force were big fans of the Chicago House sound as evidenced by The Full Force Naughty House Mix which contained a sample of Boney M’s late 70’s song Ma Baker.
