Michael Mann changed TV forever with this “MTV Cops” show that debuted on NBC in 1984. It went up against a show called Hawaiian Heat that had no chance.
The show would change TV forever. Amazing soundtracks, the cars and boats actually went on tour to select cities as well to show them off. There was nothing else like it, pastels, Miami, drugs and money all set to fast paced edits and music.
“Calderone’s Return (Part II)”, also known as “Calderone’s Demise”, is the fifth episode of Miami Vice’s first season. It premiered on October 26, 1984, and was rerun on May 24, 1985 (combined with “Calderone’s Return (Part I)” as a two-hour movie) and September 12, 1986.
The show ran for five seasons on NBC from 1984 to 1990.
