ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Code Of Silence was Norris’ first forray into a crime drama, it was filmed on location in Chicago with a few sub-plots and many great actors always featured in movies filmed here back then including Ron Dean and a soon-to-be-famous John Mahoney.
Norris plays Sgt. Eddie Cusack, a streetwise plainclothes officer who takes down a crime czar responsible for officers being wounded in a botched drug raid.
Dennis Farina was an actual Chicago police officer during the making of this film before becoming a full-time actor when cast in the leading role of Michael Mann’s 1986 television series, Crime Story which came after he had already worked for Mann in 1981’s, “Thief” as well as guest stints on shows including Miami Vice.
The movie was budgeted at 6 million dollars and did over 20 million dollars at the box office.
